The Project
The Redwood Coast Region encompasses the four counties in the farthest northwest corner of California—Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, and Mendocino. In recent years, and particularly through the pandemic, our region has come together to collaborate, share resources, and work towards economic prosperity. Though cities and counties in the region had hosted their own economic development events, economic development organizations throughout our region realized the importance of connecting economic development professionals, businesses and leaders on a regional level.
In 2021, a committee formed to start planning an economic summit. With a robust program of dynamic leaders throughout our region and diverse sponsors representing local businesses and organizations from each of the four counties, this summit has become an inspiring highlight of what's happening in the Redwood Coast Region. Two days of keynote speakers and breakout sessions offer a unique opportunity to gather, network, and connect to help co-create a thriving economic future for our region. Of course, every summit needs a successful marketing team to get the word out.

The Results
Illuminated Marketing took the driver’s seat in marketing for each of the three summits. By choosing an overarching theme for each summit, we developed key messaging and targeted social media kits for involved organizations to copy, paste and share across their various social platforms. In addition to graphic design, copywriting and social media advertising, Illuminated Marketing worked closely with the AEDC to develop a magazine-level program. This program not only highlights the conference events and other important information, but the second half is devoted to economic projects already underway throughout the 4-county region. We loved working on this project as it was an opportunity to showcase the amazing hard work of our community to benefit the economy of the Redwood Coast and strengthen community ties. This collaborative spirit is at the heart of everything we do.
